WeWork (Impact Program Manager), NAYAH (Creative Media Director/Consultant), INTAR Theater (Board member), MCC Theater (Education Program Advisor), Children’s Aid (Adolescent Leadership Program Manager), Donorly (Operations Manager).
After working with Miguel Mckelvey and Katie Longmyer at WeWork developing and managing Impact and DEI programming, Julissa pivoted with the team at NAYAH to continue consulting companies on strategies for DEIB, missions/values development, marketing, team building, operations management and more.
As a Community Strategist and consultant, Julissa aims to examine practices, mindsets, and values around your goals and illuminate pathways for meaningful change.

My history
“I began my professional career in 2005 interning for New York City Council woman, Annabel Palma in the Bronx. Every company and institution I’ve had the gratitude to work with since then has added great value to my toolkit and hold a great deal of meaning to me. At the core of my approach is connecting with my intuition and leaning into the magical spark that excites me about the work. I need to feel a sense of immersion with the work that isn’t solely tied to profits or corporate conformity. It’s a reverent approach to bringing my best self to the role and leaving the space with something that advances its mission.”
